What it checks
- Rates changed from the contract, and the claim’s own maths.
- Quantities above the contract quantity, and items past 100%.
- Percentages that don’t match the amount claimed.
- Lines that aren’t in the contract.
- With last month’s application: “previous” figures that don’t match last month’s to-date, to-date figures lower than last month, and lines that disappeared.

No. It shows where the claim goes beyond the contract and what each line is worth on contract terms. You make the assessment.
Do I need last month’s application?
No, but adding it lets the check compare the previous figures and spot lines that went backwards or disappeared.
